Overview

All companies working with FlexDesk have the ability to configure Single Sign-On via Okta to ensure a seamless experience for their employees. This document outlines the requirements, and configuration needed to enable SSO through Okta.

Configuration Steps

OIDC integration between FlexDesk and Okta works by using Okta’s SSO and a session based authentication token to allow users to access FlexDesk without previously having signed up for an account. The user’s identity from Okta will be used to create an account on FlexDesk the first time the user authenticates, signs in to FlexDesk.

Step 1 - Add the FlexDesk application to Okta

  1. Login to your organization’s Okta tenant and select the Classic UI.
  2. Navigate to Applications > Applications > Add Application, search for FlexDesk, and then click Add. Note that the two Applications references are not duplicated.
  3. Enter an Application Label in General Settings. This is the name under which the FlexDesk app will appear in your Okta dashboard.
  4. Click Done.
